Munch Man
Aim:
Guide your Munch Man around a maze linking all the passages together by laying down chain links as you go. Avoid the four 'Hoonos' who chase you around the maze.
How to play:
Anyone who's ever seen or played Pacman will know what this game is all about. Guide your munchman around the maze laying down chain links as you go. The idea is to completely fill the maze with chain links in order to progress to the next level. Four 'Hoonos' chase you around the maze just like the ghosts in Pacman so avoid them or you will lose a life if they catch you. There are four Texas Instruments power-ups placed in each corner of the maze and these can be used to temporarily give you the ability to chase the Hoonos back into the centre of the maze. It's not long until they're coming after you again though. After you clear each screen and move on to the next the Hoonos get a little bit faster and a little bit smarter. Basically, you just keep going until it's impossible to carry on.

How I might have reviewed it:
"This is TI's version of Pacman but instead of eating dots you lay down a trail of chain links. Once the whole maze has been covered with links you move on to the next screen. It sounds very simple but in practice is quite difficult. The ghosts, or 'Hoonos' as TI calls them, are quite tricky to avoid but you do have the option of using the four power-ups (in the form of a TI logo) located in the corners of the maze to turn the tables on the 'Hoonos'. Just as in Pacman, eating the power-ups makes you invincible for a short period of time and running into the 'Hoonos' while powered up sends them back to the centre of the maze, as well as increasing your score. The Hoonos take a different shape on every screen, which is a nice touch, and makes you want to do better, to see what the next ones will look like. The game is fairly challenging and the Hoonos get faster and smarter with each screen you complete. In all, this is a well implemented and very playable Pacman derivative that stands out from the crowd."
